High Power PoE for Security and Public Service Applications To fulfill the demand of High Power PoE for network applications with Gigabit speed transmission, the PLANET 808.3at PoE Gigabit Ethernet Switch -GSD-808HP is an ideal solution. Each 10/100/1000Mbps port of GSD-808HP features IEEE 802.3af and High Power IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) that combines up to 130 Watts power output and data per port over one Cat.5E / 6 Ethernet cable, with totally 130 Watts PoE budget on whole system, it is designed specifically to satisfy the growing demand of higher power consuming network PD (powered devices) such as PTZ (Pan, Tilt & Zoom) / Speed Dome network cameras, multi- channel (802.11a / b / g / n) wireless LAN access points and other network devices by providing double PoE power than conventional 802.3af PoE currently. |

Plug & Play PoE Function The 8 Gigabit High Power PoE ports in the GSD-808HP support both 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards to allow users flexibly deploy standard and high powered devices simultaneously with no need of software configuration. By offering 130 Watts PoE budget, maximum eight 15.4 Watts IEEE 802.3af devices or four 30 Watts IEEE 802.3at devices can be easily installed regardless of the power-socket limitation. Simply plug in the Ethernet cables and power cord, the GSD-808HP is ready to provide Gigabit high speed network communication and high power PoE injector functions.
Automatic PoE Management To facilitate power management, the GSD-808HP implements powerful PoE intelligent features: ■ Over Temperature Protection3 ■ PoE Power Usage Display
The automatic Over Temperature Protection helps to prevent power budget overloading while temperature rises. The four orange LEDs on the right hand side of the GSD-808HP front panel indicates “PoE Power Usage” by four level - 25%, 50%, 75% and 95% positioned from the bottom to the top. With these LED indications, you can monitor the PoE power status of the GSD-808HP easily and efficiently. |

Energy-Saving The GSD-808HP uses new engine that provides energy saving up to 40% less energy than normal Switch and remains the superior performance. The GSD-808HP incorporates two advanced Green Networking technologies: ■ Idle Mode Link Down power saving ■ Intelligent Scales Power based on cable length The Idle mode Link Down power saving of the GSD-808HP complies with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) standard to automatically lower power for a given port when it is not linked. The Intelligent Scales Power technology actively determines the appropriate power level based on the cable length. When connecting to the GSD-808HP with Ethernet cable shorter than 20m, a device can obtain maximum power saving because the GSD-808HP would automatically detect the Ethernet cable length and reduce power usage. The connected device can substantially reduce overall power consumption, which makes a significant contribution to energy saving.
Easy Installation & Cable Connection Providing data transfer and High Power PoE in one unit, the GSD-808HP shall reduce the need of extension cables and dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place. It helps to lower the installation costs and simplify the installation effort.
All RJ-45 copper interfaces in the GSD-808HP support 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation for optimal speed detection through RJ-45 Category 6, 5 or 5e cables. It also supports standard Auto-MDI/MDI-X that can detect the type of connection to any Ethernet device without requiring special straight or crossover cables. |

Application
